Pictured Left: Team members posing at Hawk Eye Downs in Cedar Rapids, Iowa after their First Place Maneuverability Trophy in Class 3a!!Other recognition is their Second Place in Braking. Though both their Maneuverability and Braking statistics were worse than in WI, they still placed well. On bad news, the team placed 7th in Endurance due to the higher level of Competition in Iowa. Teams were able to run at 40+ mph for an hour where we were just able to hold at 30mph. Great information to come back with for next year's cars!!!

Pictured Left: Team members posing at Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, WI. On Wednesday, May 23rd, the WHS Supermileage Team was allowed track time at the Jefferson Speedway 1/4mile oval track to test the speed limit over one hour with the vehicle. The team, up until this time, had always had speed limits put on the tests they had at races, and the last race of the year they were attending in Iowa has no speed limit. So the team brought multiple gears and tires along to push the envelope of their vehicle.

Pictured Left: Team members accepting a Donation Grant from Wal-Mart in Watertown, WI. The team applied for a grant to help the team's first year with sustainability through needed components for this car that would also last long enough to help future cars built. After the picture, the team sat out front of the store and "showed off" their car to shoppers and answer fielded questions. Newspaper also stopped by for a picture for the news.
THANK YOU WAL-MART!!
