Why CIM ?
Manufacturing 2 takes the skills learned in the first course, and allows you to explore them further with advanced projects. Through advanced Lathe and Mill projects, you will apply tighter tolerances in your machining. Through more welding processes, including stainless steel TIG welding, you will enhance your welding techniques.
Students will also have the opportunity to choose 1-2 independent projects in the lab for assignment. Past projects have included; grills, hitch racks, hammers, vices, trailers, dice, rotating targets and much more!
|
What to expect ?
Manufacturing 2 is 95% independent lab work. Students will be given their Assignment's Packet with ALL projects listed to begin on. As each project is finished, they will be graded on the spot. Student's are to manage their class time to complete the projects at hand.
Projects are designed to further strengthen the skills of each student in the lab, including measurement and blueprint reading. Every project is given as a CAD drawing with dimensions and notes. See the below documents for a glimpse into the course.
